Under this brand dozens of leading manufacturers of modern high-tech equipment for the municipal, road-building and mining industries are combined.
The active development of Terex Corporation begins in the mid-90s. as a result of the acquisition of various companies. From 1995 to 2002, the concern was a real aggressor in the mergers and acquisitions market, becoming the owner of 22 companies. Here they are, the stages of a long journey:
1995: Terex acquires PPM Cranes, a crane manufacturer;
1996: Terex absorbs Clark Material Handling;
1997: Terex acquires Simon-RO and Telelect. The same year, BPI Handlers was acquired in Baraga, Michigan;
1998: Terex expands its share of mining machinery and equipment with the acquisition of Payhauler and O & K Mining. Crane production is growing due to the acquisition of American Crane, TerexLift, Peiner and Gru Comedil;
1999: Terex creates Light Construction by acquiring Amida, Benford and Bartell and becomes the leader in crushing and screening equipment as a result of the acquisition of Cedarapids, Re-Tech, Powerscreen, BL Pegson and Finlay. The Terex corporation this year included crane manufacturers Franna, Princeton and Kooi;
2000: Terex enters the small truck sector through the acquisition of Fermec, a manufacturer of backhoe loaders. The sector of light construction equipment (small-scale mechanization) expanded with the acquisition of Coleman Engineering. Terex sells Moffett, Princeton and Kooi;
2001: Terex continues to develop its road building segment through the acquisition of Jaques, CMI, Bid-Well and Load King. In the same year, the Atlas absorption took place.
2002: Demag manufactures Terex cranes and leads the corporation to be the leader in the crane industry. The takeover of German manufacturers Schaeff and Fuchs strengthened Terex’s position in the small construction equipment market. Advance Mixer allows Terex to enter the mixer truck industry;
2003: Terex acquires a controlling stake in TATRA, a manufacturer of road and off-road heavy-duty trucks for commercial and military purposes (this package was sold in 2006!)
2004: Terex acquires Noble CE, now known as Terex Mexico, which produces heavy-duty mining dump trucks for ground-level planning and parts for other Terex businesses. Terex also acquires Reedrill, a manufacturer of surface drilling equipment used in the mining, construction, and utility industries
2008: Acquired All Seasons Vehiсle - ASV, which manufactures compact track loaders.
